Ship Sket is the alias of Josh Griffiths, a 26-year-old producer originally from Dorset, England, who has spent the last seven years carving out a space for himself in Manchester’s experimental electronic scene. His music is a wild, genre-blurring ride through grime, dubstep, British drill, and rap, all twisted into something unsettling and unpredictable—think horror-inspired samples over broken beats, with a maximalist, chaotic energy that constantly pushes boundaries. Not shy about getting weird, he’s described his process as “a lot more stylistic than technical,” chasing “happy accidents” and letting tracks “write themselves” in a way that feels almost spiritual. Ship Sket has self-released music on his own Hdmurder label and dropped EPs on Sidechains, Modern Trips, Illegal Data, and more, while also collaborating with artists like Charlie Osborne (on “Vendetta’s Theme”) and S280F. His debut album, *InitiatriX*, arrived on Planet Mu in 2025, cementing his place as one of the UK underground’s most exciting, left-field voices.
