Kaka Bhainiawala

Kaka Bhaniawala, born Santokh Singh Rataurh, was a renowned Punjabi singer from a village in Punjab, India, known as Doaba Bhaini. His stage name "Kaka" was a nickname given by his mother. He began his musical journey with his debut album "Mashooq Teri Challi" through Music Pearls Recording Company in Ludhiana, which brought him local success. His breakthrough in the UK Bhangra scene came with the remix of "Sahnewal Chowk," featured on Specialist 'N' Tru-Skool's album "Word Is Born." Kaka Bhaniawala collaborated with several notable producers and artists, including DJ H & DJ Rags, and his vocals were featured in the song "Nachna Onda Nei," which charted in the UK Singles Chart.

Sadly, Kaka Bhaniawala passed away on April 12, 2009, due to liver failure caused by excessive drinking. His legacy continues to inspire the music community, with numerous posthumous releases and tributes. A concert was held in Birmingham to support his family, showcasing the impact he had on the bhangra industry. Despite his untimely death, his music remains celebrated, and his contributions to Punjabi music are still remembered and cherished today.
