Randy Napoleon

Randy Napoleon is a jazz guitarist, composer, and arranger known for his warm tone, lyrical playing style, and deep melodic sensibility. He has built a respected career both as a solo artist and as a sideman, performing and recording with jazz greats such as Freddy Cole and Benny Green. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Napoleon has played on stages around the world, bringing his unique voice to the tradition of straight-ahead jazz.

In addition to his work as a performer, Napoleon is also a dedicated educator. He serves as Associate Professor of Jazz Guitar at Michigan State University, mentoring the next generation of jazz musicians. His discography includes a mix of original compositions and tributes to legendary guitarists, as heard on albums like Rust Belt Roots and Waking Dream. Through his recordings and teaching, Randy Napoleon continues to make a significant impact on the jazz scene.
