Joanna Duda is a Polish jazz pianist, composer, and electronics experimentalist known for her innovative approach to music. Her journey into music began unexpectedly when she was a teenager, experimenting with MP3s on her family's computer, which led to an accidental discovery of complex sounds that captivated her. She studied classical piano at Gdansk's Academy of Music but found her true calling in jazz, which allowed her the freedom to experiment and create unique sounds. Duda has been a member of the influential Wojtek Mazolewski Quintet and has also worked on her own projects, including the Joanna Duda Trio, which combines acoustic instruments with electronic sounds and samples to create a distinctive narrative through improvisation.
