Huoratron
Huoratron is the musical project of Aku Raski, a Helsinki-based composer, producer, and artist born in 1977. Active since 2003, Huoratron gained recognition for releases like "Prevenge," "$$ Troopers," and "Corporate Occult". Raski's music is characterized by dark, compressed, and danceable electronic sounds, blending influences from his childhood love of Commodore 64 with elements of industrial and alternative rock.
Initially starting as a dogmatic foray into chiptune using only handheld Nintendo Gameboy consoles, Huoratron's sound evolved to incorporate a broader range of electronic elements. Raski is known for his intense live performances, often playing at both electronic music festivals and metal events, attracting fans from diverse musical backgrounds including artists like M.I.A. and Korn. His debut full-length album, "Cryptocracy," was released in 2012, showcasing his signature style of disturbing and compressed dance music.
