Chad McCullough is a Seattle-based trumpeter and composer known for his warm tone and genre-blurring approach to contemporary jazz. With roots in Chicago's vibrant scene and academic training from Indiana University and the University of Washington, he crafts immersive soundscapes that balance introspection and groove, as heard on releases like *Dark Wood, Dark Water* and *The Charm of Impossibilities*. A collaborator at heart, he’s worked with artists across Europe and North America while maintaining a steady output of genre-defiant projects, from the atmospheric *Urban Nightingale* to the exploratory *Abstract Quantities*. When not recording or touring, he shares his expertise as an educator, nurturing the next generation of jazz musicians.
