Bret McKenzie
Bret McKenzie is a New Zealand musician, comedian, and actor, best known as one half of the Grammy Award-winning comedy duo Flight of the Conchords, alongside Jemaine Clement. The duo gained a cult following with their quirky mix of folk music and deadpan humor, leading to a hit HBO series and several acclaimed albums, including Flight of the Conchords and I Told You I Was Freaky.
Outside the Conchords, McKenzie has made a name for himself in the film world as well, notably winning an Academy Award for Best Original Song for "Man or Muppet" from The Muppets (2011). He's also served as the music supervisor and songwriter for other Muppets films. In 2022, he released his debut solo album, Songs Without Jokes, showcasing a more earnest and melodic side of his songwriting. With his distinctive wit and musical talent, McKenzie continues to charm audiences around the world.
