Phurbu T Namgyal

Phurbu T. Namgyal is a renowned Tibetan musician, singer, and composer known for his contributions to Tibetan pop music. Born in Bylakuppe, India, he attended the Tibetan Children's Village School until 1994. He later moved to the United States in 1996 and currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Phurbu T. Namgyal is a self-taught musician with a significant presence in the Tibetan music scene, having released several successful albums. His album "With You" was awarded the Best Tibetan Music Album of the Year in 2005, and he was named the Best Tibetan Male Singer of the Year in 2007. His music often reflects themes of Tibetan culture and identity, and he has been involved in various charitable initiatives, including the OM Charity project to aid poor and elderly Tibetans.
