Iggor Cavalera

Iggor Cavalera is a Brazilian drummer best known as the co-founder and former drummer of the influential metal band Sepultura. Alongside his brother Max Cavalera, Iggor helped shape the sound of thrash and groove metal throughout the late '80s and '90s, with landmark albums like Arise, Chaos A.D., and Roots. His powerful, tribal-infused drumming was a defining element of the band's sound and helped push the boundaries of heavy metal.

After leaving Sepultura in 2006, Iggor explored electronic and experimental music, forming the project Mixhell with his wife Laima Leyton. He later reunited with Max to form Cavalera Conspiracy, returning to his metal roots. Known for his dynamic style and genre-blending creativity, Iggor continues to be an innovative force in music, bringing his rhythmic intensity to a range of projects across metal, punk, and electronic scenes.
