Ex Wiish

Ex Wiish is a musical project led by Ben Shirken, a sound artist and composer based in New York City. As Ex Wiish, Shirken explores improvisational practices with generative systems and sound design, blending analogue and digital media to create immersive, multi-layered soundscapes. His debut album, *Shards of Axel*, reflects this approach, conceptualized from a story-based video game composition where each song acts as a playable map for listeners. Shirken is also involved in various other projects, including playing modular synths in the free jazz group Nu Jazz and founding the record label 29 Speedway.

Ex Wiish's music often spans electronic and experimental genres, resulting in a dynamic and evolving sound.
