**Debonair District** is a Filipino jazz band formed by students at the University of the Philippines-Diliman College of Music. Led by vocalist **Toma Cayabyab**—son of National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab—the group draws from Toma's lifelong love of jazz icons like Frank Sinatra and Michael Bublé, inspired partly by the anime *Sakamichi no Apollon* (*Kids on the Slope*).
The lineup includes trumpet player **Neo Manosca**, double bassist **Joey Biato**, drummer **Chico Macorol**, keyboardist **Harold Santos**, and electric guitarist **Antonio Concepcion**. They specialize in jazzed-up Filipino folk songs, *kundiman*, pop, and foreign tunes, paying homage to Pinoy jazz traditions like Eddie Munji’s and Ryan Cayabyab’s works, while gigging at weddings, corporate events, and private shows—even bonding via Zoom during pandemic lockdowns to keep the music flowing.
