Corpsegrinder

Corpsegrinder is the solo project of George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher, best known as the longtime vocalist for legendary death metal band Cannibal Corpse. Launching his self-titled solo debut in 2022, Corpsegrinder showcased Fisher’s signature guttural vocal style outside of Cannibal Corpse’s framework, blending classic death metal with hardcore-influenced grooves. The project was produced by Nick Bellmore and Jamey Jasta (of Hatebreed), who also contributed to the album’s songwriting.

With tracks like “On Wings of Carnage” and “Acid Vat,” Corpsegrinder’s solo work stays true to his brutal roots while giving him the chance to explore different sonic territories. The album features tight riffs, pounding drums, and, of course, Fisher’s inimitable roar. Though a departure from Cannibal Corpse’s ultra-technical style, Corpsegrinder’s solo material is a natural extension of his presence in the metal world—a celebration of heavy music, delivered with punishing energy and plenty of neck-snapping moments.
