The Crawling

The Crawling is a Northern Irish metal band renowned for their distinctive blend of slow, heavy riffs and themes that are deeply rooted in the human psyche, touching upon despair, struggle, and our own individual battles with the darker sides of life. Forming out of the ashes of previous musical projects, the band coalesced in Lisburn in 2014, founded by Andy Clarke (guitars and vocals) and Stuart Rainey (bass and vocals), later joined by Gary Beattie on drums to complete the lineup.

Renowned for their stark honesty and gripping musical execution, The Crawling has crafted a niche within the doom death scene through the release of their impressive works. Their debut album "Anatomy of Loss" in 2017 was highly regarded for its raw dissection of the human condition, followed by the visceral narrative presented in "Wolves and the Hideous White" in 2018. Interspersing album releases with hard-hitting singles like "Choking on Concrete" and creating compelling music videos have allowed the band to establish a strong presence both online and in the live scene, resonating with fans across the globe. Whether exploring personal struggles in "Sparrow" or societal critiques in "All of this for Nothing," The Crawling continues to captivate audiences with their unflinching look at the turmoil and bleakness of existence, all conveyed through their crushingly heavy sound.
