Tikahiri is a rock band from the Fakarava atoll in French Polynesia, formed in 2003. The group consists of four members: Aroma Salmon, Mano Salmon, Simon Pillard, and Stéphane Rossoni. They are known for their unique style, which they describe as "Paumotu gothic," blending elements of gothic rock with the Paumotu language and culture from the Tuamotu archipelago. This distinctive sound combines classical instruments like the cello with modern rock elements, creating a novel fusion in Polynesian music.
