Kemal Gekic

Kemal Gekic is a Croatian pianist and composer who has made a name for himself with his passionate and expressive performances. Born in Zagreb, Croatia, Gekic began playing the piano at the age of six and quickly developed a love for music. He went on to study at the Zagreb Academy of Music and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich, where he honed his skills under the tutelage of renowned pianists such as Karl-Heinz Kämmerling and Elza Kolodin.

Gekic's repertoire spans a wide range of musical periods, from Baroque to contemporary, and he is particularly known for his interpretations of Romantic and Impressionist music. He has performed as a soloist with major orchestras around the world, including the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra. In addition to his solo career, Gekic is also a dedicated chamber musician and has collaborated with some of the world's leading musicians, including cellist Steven Isserlis and violinist Gidon Kremer.
