Ayinde Bakare was a Nigerian musician who lived from 1912 to 1972. He was a pioneer of the Apala music genre, which is a traditional Yoruba music style. Bakare was known for his distinctive voice and his ability to play the talking drum. He was also a prolific songwriter, and his songs often addressed social and political issues.
