Gollbetty was a vibrant seven-piece Japanese ska band with strong pop and rock influences, formed in Nagoya in 2004. The band consisted of g-yun (vocals), MISSY (guitar), CLASSY (bass), MUSH (drums), TAKA-P (saxophone), SHODAI (trumpet), and HIROAKI (trombone). They released their debut mini-album, "Soul Fresh!", in 2005, followed by their first full-length album "GOLLING!!" in 2006. Over their six-year career, they released several notable singles, including "Shou Koi Yubi ~Koiyubi~", "Easy Going", and "Snow Fall", and full-length albums like "GOLL & RESPONSE!!" and "BETTY'S BUGGY".
Gollbetty gained recognition not only for their energetic music but also for their fashion sense, with g-yun being featured in fashion magazines, which helped boost their popularity. The band toured extensively and released a retrospective album "Gollbetty Best" in 2010 before disbanding after their final tour. Their music was characterized by lively ska rhythms infused with pop and punk elements, making them a unique and engaging act in the Japanese music scene.
