Himari

Himari is a remarkable young violinist born in 2011 in Japan. She began her violin studies at the age of three under the guidance of Koichiro Harada and Machie Oguri. Himari made her orchestral solo debut at just six years old and has since performed with numerous renowned orchestras, including the NHK Symphony Orchestra, New Japan Philharmonic, and Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. Her talent has earned her top prizes at several international competitions, such as the International Competition for Young Violinists in Honor of Karol Lipinski and Henryk Wieniawski, and the Arthur Grumiaux International Violin Competition. In 2022, Himari joined the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where she studies under Ida Kavafian. Her performances are characterized by extraordinary technique and emotional depth, captivating audiences worldwide. She has been signed as an exclusive recording artist with Decca Classics.

Himari continues to impress with her virtuosity and musicality, performing across the globe. She has been described as a "once-in-a-generation talent" and has won over audiences with her imaginative interpretations and technical fearlessness. She plays the 1717 "Hamma" Stradivarius violin, generously loaned by Mr. Yusaku Maezawa. Her recent performances include collaborations with major orchestras like the Philadelphia Orchestra and upcoming engagements with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
