Grrrl Gang is an indie pop/rock band from Yogyakarta, Indonesia, formed in 2016 by college students Angeeta Sentana (vocals, guitar), Akbar Rumandung (bass, vocals), and Edo Alventa (guitar, vocals). Known for their catchy melodies and socially conscious lyrics, their music touches on themes like feminism, mental health, and relationships, resonating strongly with a young, global audience. Since their debut maxi single *Stop This Madness* in 2017, they've gained international recognition, releasing the compilation *Here To Stay!* in 2020 and performing at major events like South by Southwest (SXSW). Their energetic style and honest songwriting have earned critical praise, including an "A−" from Robert Christgau.

After graduating and relocating to Jakarta, Grrrl Gang released their full-length debut album *Spunky!* in 2023, produced by Lafa Pratomo, which marks an evolution in their sound with richer production while maintaining their vibrant energy. The trio continues to build their presence on the indie scene, poised as a fresh voice in Indonesian and international indie music.
