Anfauglir is a U.S.-based symphonic black metal duo formed by multi-instrumentalists Lord Bauglir and Griss around 2004. They are known for their epic storytelling through music, particularly drawing inspiration from J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium. After a significant hiatus since their debut album *Hymns Over Anfauglith*, Anfauglir made a grand return with their 2024 album *Akallabêth*, a sweeping concept record centered on the rise and fall of Númenor during the Second Age of Tolkien's world.
