Aquasky

Aquasky is an electronic music group originally formed in Bournemouth, England, in 1995 by Brent Newitt, Dave Wallace, and Kieron Bailey. The trio started their musical journey creating drum and bass anthems, and they were originally signed to the prominent Moving Shadow label. Their sound was instrumental in shaping the UK's breakbeat and drum and bass scenes during the late 1990s and early 2000s. However, as the group evolved, so did their musical direction; they transitioned towards breakbeat and bass music, expanding their audience and establishing a new identity within the electronic music community.

Throughout their career, Aquasky has been known for their dynamic production skills and versatility. Their discography, which includes releases such as "Raise the Devil," "Living Legends," and "Deep Fat Frequencies," demonstrates a willingness to push the boundaries of genre. The "Shadow Era" remasters bring back their earlier sound with a modern touch, capturing the essence of their contributions to the breakbeat genre. Collaborations with vocalists like Diane Charlemagne and Bex Riley, as well as remixes from artists such as Funtcase and Genetix, reflect their influence and respect within the wider music community. With a pioneering spirit, Aquasky continues to leave a lasting imprint on the ever-evolving landscape of electronic music.
