Twiztid

Twiztid is an American hip-hop duo hailing from Detroit, Michigan, comprised of Jamie Madrox (Jamie Spaniolo) and Monoxide (Paul Methric), who have been active in the music industry since 1997. The pair originally started as part of the larger group House of Krazees, but when the band disbanded in 1997, they formed Twiztid. Gaining initial fame through their association with the Insane Clown Posse and the larger Psychopathic Records label collective, Twiztid developed a dedicated fanbase known as "Juggalos." Characterized by their horrorcore style, which blends horror-themed lyrics with hardcore hip-hop, the duo has built a distinctive brand hinged upon intricate storytelling, dark humor, and explorations of the supernatural.

With an extensive discography that spotlights their evolution as artists, Twiztid has managed to branch out beyond their original sound to incorporate a variety of genres including alternative rock and electronica. Their recent projects such as "Unlikely Prescription" and "Revelashen" showcase this diversity, offering a blend of rap, rock, and experimental sounds. The annual "Songs of Samhain" compilations have become a tradition for Twiztid, where they celebrate Halloween through music, revealing their knack for theatricality and thematic content. Over the years, they have not only become staples in the underground rap scene but also entrepreneurs, founding their own label, Majik Ninja Entertainment, which has become a home for like-minded artists and allowed Twiztid to further their legacy as independent music icons.
