**Katie Porter** is a Brooklyn-based clarinetist, composer, and experimental musician known for her deeply thoughtful and minimalist work that explores music perception through time and space. With advanced degrees in composition, she draws on decades of experimental performance practice to create immersive sound experiences. Katie is actively involved in numerous collaborative projects, such as Phase to Phase and Malosma, often melding clarinet with bass clarinet or bass flute alongside other experimental artists. She is also dedicated to fostering musical communities, having co-founded venues like Listen/Space in Brooklyn and curates commissions for new chamber music works.
