Maj Britt Andersen is a Norwegian singer and songwriter known for her folk and traditional music. Born in 1956, she has released over 20 albums and is considered one of the most influential figures in Norwegian folk music. Her songs often explore themes of nature, love, and social issues, and she is known for her powerful vocals and evocative lyrics. Andersen has received numerous awards for her work, including the Spellemannprisen (Norwegian Grammy Award) for Best Folk Music Album in 1984 and 2005.
