**0.8Syooogeki** (0.8秒と衝撃。, "0.8 Seconds and a Crash.") is a Japanese independent band formed in 2008 in Tokyo, specifically Shibuya. The group consists of two members, J.M. and Tadaomi Tōyama. They debuted in 2009 with their single "Postman John" and released their first album, "Zoo&LENNON," in October 2010, under the independent label Evol Records' sub-label, Actwise. Tōyama not only writes and produces most of the band's songs but also works as a radio personality on Tokyo FM. Both members provide vocals, with Tōyama also handling guitar duties.
The band's music style includes genres like new wave, post-punk, and folk. They gained some recognition with releases such as "Ethnofunky Dostoyevsky Comecome Club EP" (2010) and "1bo2bo3bo4bo5bo6bo, Touyou No Techno." (2011), which charted on Oricon's charts. Despite disbanding in 2017, the members went on to form new projects. Their most notable recent album before disbanding was "NEW GERMAN WAVE4" (2013), though there have been later musical endeavors under different names.
