RC & the Ambers

RC & the Ambers is a musical side project led by RC Edwards, the bassist and songwriter for the Oklahoma-based country band Turnpike Troubadours, and singer Amber Watson. The duo has been playing music together for over a decade, often during Edwards' downtime from Turnpike. Their music takes a psychedelic approach to honky tonk, offering a unique blend of country sounds. The band's core members include Justin Kay, Nicholas Pitre, and Lance Roark, with contributions from other notable musicians like Hank Early, Kyle Nix, and Gabriel Pearson. In 2021, they released their debut album, *Big Country*, which features a mix of original songs and covers, including a Bocephus cover and a song about Big Country Bryant Reeves.

Their recent releases include tracks like "Oklahoma Beach Body," showcasing their eclectic style. The project serves as a creative outlet for Edwards and Watson, allowing them to explore different musical dimensions beyond their work with Turnpike Troubadours. With a blend of country, psychedelic elements, and lively storytelling, RC & the Ambers offer a fresh take on traditional honky-tonk music.
