João Domingos Bomtempo was a Portuguese composer, pianist, and teacher who lived from 1775 to 1842. He's known for his contributions to the development of Portuguese classical music and for his role in establishing the Conservatory of Lisbon. Bomtempo's music is characterized by its melodic beauty, rhythmic vitality, and expressive harmonies. He composed in a variety of genres, including symphonies, concertos, sonatas, and operas.
