Beau Dommage is a Canadian folk-pop band formed in Montreal in 1972. The band's original lineup consisted of Pierre Bertrand, Michel Rivard, Marie Michèle Desrosiers, Réal Desrosiers, and Michel Hinton. Beau Dommage released their self-titled debut album in 1974, which was a critical and commercial success. The album featured the hit singles "Le blues d'la métropole" and "La complainte du phoque en Alaska." Beau Dommage continued to release successful albums throughout the 1970s, including "Où est passée la noce?" (1975), "Un autre jour viendra" (1977), and "Passagers" (1978). The band broke up in 1981, but reunited in 1994 for a series of concerts. Beau Dommage has been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Quebec Music Hall of Fame.
