Slim Dunlap was a Minneapolis guitar slinger who was a beloved fixture of the Twin Cities music scene. Best known for his work with the Replacements, where he stepped in after Bob Stinson's departure, Slim brought his own brand of rootsy rock and roll to the band. But Slim was much more than just a Replacement; he was a talented songwriter and performer in his own right, releasing a handful of critically acclaimed solo albums that showcased his knack for catchy melodies and heartfelt lyrics.
Beyond his musical talents, Slim was known for his warm personality and his dedication to the local music community. He was a true musician's musician, admired and respected by his peers. Sadly, a stroke in 2012 sidelined him, but his music continues to be celebrated by fans and fellow artists alike.
