The Jervaulx Singers are a professional soloists choir based in North Yorkshire, England, founded in 2021 by Charlie Gower-Smith and Jenny Bianco, who met at a local parent and toddler group. Named after the nearby historic Jervaulx Abbey, the ensemble combines some of the UK's finest voices to perform a wide-ranging repertoire that includes sacred and secular choral music, opera extracts, and solo songs. They focus on storytelling through song and have quickly earned a loyal following with performances at prestigious venues and festivals across Yorkshire and the UK, such as the Grassington and Swaledale Festivals and the University of Leeds Concert Series.
The Jervaulx Singers released their debut album *Les chansons des roses* in 2024, featuring music themed around nature and the earth, followed by an 18-track album *In the Stillness* in 2025 with well-known choral pieces like "Adam lay ybounden" and arrangements of Christmas carols. They are praised for their expressive, beautifully balanced performances that blend solo and choral singing with clarity and warmth. In addition to concerts, they host annual opera galas with semi-staged opera scenes and seasonal events like Carols by Candlelight, creating engaging and intimate live experiences.
