Hopalong Knut

Hopalong Knut is a Norwegian ska band that originated in Hommelvik in the late 1990s and later moved to Trondheim. The band is known for singing in their local dialect, Trøndersk, which earned them the Dialektprisen award from Norsk Målungdom in 2006. Their music style blends ska with rock elements, and they have been active since 2002. Over the years, Hopalong Knut has released several albums, including *Feilkalibrert tidsmaskin* (2005), *Evolusjonens trøst* (2006), and *La Pluto bli en planet igjen* (2011). The band has undergone changes in its lineup and has participated in numerous festivals and concerts across Norway.

In recent years, some members of Hopalong Knut have collaborated with Aslak Borgersrud from Gatas Parlament to form a new project called Hopalong AKA. This collaboration has led to new music releases, reflecting the band's evolution and continued creativity in the music scene. Despite these changes, Hopalong Knut remains a significant part of Norway's ska and rock heritage, known for their energetic performances and unique dialectical approach to music.
