Cœur De Pirate

Cœur de Pirate is the stage name of Béatrice Martin, a celebrated Québécois singer-songwriter and pianist who has captured the hearts of audiences with her melodious voice and emotive piano-driven pop songs. Born on September 22, 1989, in Outremont, Quebec, Canada, Martin began playing piano when she was only three and later attended the Conservatoire de musique du Québec à Montréal to refine her skills. After a stint as a keyboardist in the post-hardcore band December Strikes First, she embarked on her solo career as Cœur de Pirate in 2007. Her self-titled debut album was released in 2008 and catapulted her to fame with its intimate lyrics and captivating melodies, especially in the Francophone world.

Over the years, Cœur de Pirate has continued to charm her fans with a series of successful albums and singles, weaving stories of love, heartbreak, and personal growth into her music. Her artistry is marked by her eloquent lyrics predominantly in French, though she has also released songs in English. Highlights among her recent releases, such as "Dernière danse," "On s'aimera toujours," and "Impossible à aimer," show her ability to adapt and evolve her sound, while still staying true to the emotional honesty that has defined her career. With multiple awards and nominations, including Juno Awards and Félix Awards, Cœur de Pirate has solidified her position as an important figure in the contemporary music scene in Canada and beyond.
