J.J. Fad was a female hip-hop trio from Los Angeles, California, active in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The group consisted of Michelle "MC Sweet Tee" Franklin, Juanita "MC J.J." Abernathy, and Dania "MC Lady Tee" Birks. They are best known for their hit single "Supersonic," which reached number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1988. The group released two albums, "Supersonic" (1988) and "Not Just a Fad" (1990), before disbanding in 1992.
