Lyla June

Lyla June is a Diné (Navajo) and Tsétsêhéstâhese (Cheyenne) musician, poet, and activist whose work weaves together Indigenous wisdom, environmental advocacy, and melodic storytelling. Blending spoken word with folk, hip-hop, and traditional Native American influences, her music—like recent releases *Water is Life* and *Native Women*—serves as both a prayer and a call to action, centering themes of healing, sovereignty, and reverence for the Earth. A Stanford-educated scholar of Indigenous food systems, she uses her platform to amplify intersectional justice movements while honoring ancestral traditions through songs like *Hózhó* and *All Nations Rise*. Her work often features hauntingly beautiful flute melodies and lyrical depth rooted in her cultural heritage.
