Uwa and Friends
Uwa and Friends is an Indonesian children's music project created by Bayu Sulistyo Subyantoro in collaboration with Hicca Studios in 2012. The project was born out of a desire to address the lack of educational content for children in Indonesia and to introduce rare Indonesian animals to an international audience. After undergoing several visual and storytelling changes, Uwa and Friends evolved into its current format, which has gained significant popularity.
The project has expanded beyond music to include animated films, music video clips, and mobile applications. Their YouTube channel has over 23,000 subscribers and 13 million views, while their Spotify account boasts more than 9,000 monthly active listeners. The Uwa and Friends mobile app has been downloaded over 1 million times from the Google Play Store.
