Quatuor Modigliani, a French string quartet founded in 2003, has risen to prominence as one of the most sophisticated and celebrated chamber music ensembles of our time. Comprised of Amaury Coeytaux (violin), Loïc Rio (violin), Laurent Marfaing (viola), and François Kieffer (cello), the quartet began their journey after meeting as students at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. Named after the Italian painter Amedeo Modigliani, the ensemble quickly distinguished itself for their elegant interpretations and exquisite artistry.
