Samadipta Mukherjee is a talented Hindustani classical vocalist from India, known for her unique blend of traditional and classical influences. At just 22, she gained widespread recognition for her rendition of Mozart's Symphony No. 40 in the Indian sargam notation format, which was warmly appreciated by legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. Growing up in a musical Bengali family, Samadipta began learning music at the age of four under the guidance of her uncle Swarajit Guha Roy and later studied under renowned teachers like Pt. Kalyan Chattopadhyay and Subhamita Bandopadhyay. She has also explored Western classical music, inspired by composers like Beethoven and Mozart.
As a versatile artist, Samadipta has appeared on reality TV shows, such as 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa,' and is actively involved in stage performances. In addition to her music career, she is pursuing a double master's degree in Music and English and teaches music to children. She has also made humanitarian contributions, including donating her long hair to support cancer patients, a gesture inspired by her personal experience of losing her father to cancer.
