Michelle Ryser

Michelle Ryser is a Swiss schlager singer known for her unique blend of folk and country music, which she terms "Volks-Country." Born on December 24, 1991, in Solothurn, Switzerland, Ryser began her career at a young age. She started performing as a dancer and later transitioned to singing, making her debut on the "Musikantenstadl" at just 16 years old. Her first album, *Achtung, fertig, Michelle*, was released in 2009. Ryser's subsequent albums, including *Volks-Country* (2013), *Volks-Country II* (2016), and *Volks-Country 3* (2019), have been well-received in Switzerland, with the latter reaching the top 10 in the album charts. She is recognized as one of the most successful female schlager artists in Switzerland, alongside Beatrice Egli and Francine Jordi.

Ryser's music often combines traditional Swiss and German schlager elements with English-language country covers, showcasing her versatility as an artist. Despite her musical success, Ryser also pursued a career in education, completing a study at the Pädagogische Hochschule in Solothurn to become a teacher. Her ability to balance both passions has contributed to her enduring popularity in the Swiss music scene.
