CBC Radio Orchestra
The CBC Radio Orchestra is a Canadian orchestra based in Toronto, Ontario. Founded in 1952, the orchestra is the flagship ensemble of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). The orchestra performs a wide range of classical music, from Baroque to contemporary, and has premiered many new works by Canadian composers. The CBC Radio Orchestra has also toured extensively throughout Canada and internationally, and has made numerous recordings.
