SHINee is a South Korean boy band formed by SM Entertainment in 2008, and their name is a combination of the words "shine" and "ee," which signifies "people receiving the light." The group consists of Onew, Key, Minho, and Taemin. Originally a five-member group, SHINee tragically lost member Jonghyun in December 2017, but have continued to honor his memory in their ongoing work.
