The Hydromatics

The Hydromatics was an international garage rock supergroup formed in the late 1990s, showcasing the talents of members drawn from several notable bands of the genre. Fronted by the eminent figure Scott Morgan — a revered musician known for his work with the Rationals and Sonic's Rendezvous Band — the line-up also included The Hellacopters' lead guitarist and backing vocalist, Nick Royale (Nicke Andersson), as well as bassist Tony Slug from the Nitwitz and B.G.K., and drummer Ries Doms, known for his work with The Spades.

Their music is a potent blend of high-energy rock 'n' roll, drawing from influences that include Detroit rock, punk, and soul. The band initially came together around a shared desire to play and record Scott Morgan’s back catalog and new material. Despite their relatively brief tenure, The Hydromatics left a lasting mark with their spirited performances and recordings, albeit with a limited discography. Their first album, "Powerglide," released in 2000, showcased their capacity for raw, energetic rock music infused with a classic edge. Over two decades later, their work remains influential, leading to the remastered releases of "Powerglide - High Octane Edition" and "Dangerous," allowing both existing fans and new listeners to experience The Hydromatics' music with enhanced sound quality and vigor. The band's self-titled release, which also includes remastered tracks, serves as a testament to their enduring appeal and the timelessness of their rock 'n' roll flair.
