Nylenda is a Norwegian band from Stavanger, formed in 2016. They specialize in creating modern psychedelic pop with an electronic edge, captivating audiences with their hypnotic rhythms and live performances across Norway. The band consists of Øivind Hatleskog on vocals, organ, synth, guitar, and Mellotron; Sigbjørn Håland on synth, guitar, electric sitar, and drum machine; and John Olav Håland on bass. Their debut album, "Medicating a Prophet," released in 2021, received positive reviews both domestically and internationally. Nylenda's music is influenced by artists like Jagwar Ma, Caribou, and LCD Soundsystem, blending electronic music with psychedelic and Krautrock elements to create a unique sound.
