MacKenzie Grant

MacKenzie Grant is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter and classically trained pianist known for her heartfelt and introspective music. Originally from Syracuse, New York, she grew up in a musical family, the daughter of two classically trained musicians. After studying at the University of Michigan and then Berklee College of Music, MacKenzie relocated to Nashville in 2000, where she quickly immersed herself in the songwriting community. Her early work, including the 2006 album *The Laundry Room Glamour Hour*, established her as a compelling voice in the Americana and singer-songwriter scenes. After taking a 15-year hiatus from music to focus on healing and family, she made a powerful comeback with the album *Wonder World* released through Blackbird Music Label, which channels her experiences as a former counselor and reflections on compassion and resilience.

Her recent singles, such as *Putting Down Some Things* and *2000 & One*, showcase her ability to blend clear, emotive vocals with thoughtful lyrics that explore themes of self-compassion, healing, and human connection. MacKenzie plans to reconnect with audiences through live shows primarily in Nashville and potentially Los Angeles, hoping to bring her uplifting messages directly to listeners. Her music is both personal and universally resonant, reflecting a journey of overcoming adversity and encouraging kindness towards oneself and others.
