Josey Wales

Josey Wales, also known as The Outlaw, is a legendary Jamaican dancehall deejay who rose to prominence in the late 1970s and 1980s. Known for his powerful voice, commanding delivery, and socially conscious lyrics, he became a key figure in the development of the dancehall style. A former member of the U-Roy-affiliated Stur Gav sound system alongside fellow icons like Charlie Chaplin and Brigadier Jerry, Josey Wales helped define the energetic, toasting-heavy sound that dominated Jamaican music during that era.
