Horst Winter was a German accordionist and composer who lived from 1914 to 1991. He was known for his virtuosic playing and his innovative compositions, which often incorporated elements of jazz and classical music. Winter began playing the accordion at a young age and quickly became a child prodigy. He made his professional debut at the age of 16 and went on to perform throughout Europe and the United States. In addition to his solo career, Winter also played with a number of orchestras and ensembles, including the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. He composed over 100 works for the accordion, many of which are still performed today.
