Lisa Stansfield

Lisa Stansfield is an English singer, songwriter, and actress, whose soulful voice and pop-infused R&B sound have made her an icon in the music industry. Born on April 11, 1966, in Rochdale, Lancashire, England, Stansfield gained widespread recognition in the late 1980s when she won Search for a Star, a singing competition, which paved the way for her entry into the music world. Her breakthrough came when she featured on Coldcut's hit single "People Hold On" in 1989, which led to her debut solo album "Affection" and the international smash hit "All Around the World."

Throughout the 1990s and into the 2000s, Stansfield solidified her position in the music world with her powerful voice and emotive performances, releasing several critically acclaimed albums. After taking a break from the industry to focus on her acting career, she made a triumphant return to music in the 2010s with albums like "Seven" in 2014, which was later expanded into "Seven+" and reissued as "Seven (Special Edition)". Following up with "The Moment" and "Live in Manchester", a documentation of Stansfield’s dynamic performances, she further expanded her repertoire with the deeper R&B influences heard in "Deeper" and its follow-up release "Deeper+". Among her more recent tracks, "Billionaire" and "Never Ever" showcase her enduring talent and her ability to connect with a contemporary audience while staying true to her roots in soulful, pop-influenced R&B. Stansfield continues to captivate fans old and new with her powerful voice, heartfelt songwriting, and charismatic presence both on stage and in the studio.
