Orquestra Paulistana de Viola Caipira
The Orquestra Paulistana de Viola Caipira, also known as OPVC, is a Brazilian orchestra founded on October 29, 1997 by conductor Rui Torneze. The orchestra's mission is to promote and spread caipira music throughout Brazil. Composed of over 50 members, the OPVC specializes in performing with the viola caipira, a ten-stringed guitar that is central to Brazilian country music traditions.
