Roger Siffer

Roger Siffer, born in 1948 in Villé, Bas-Rhin, France, is an Alsatian comedian, radio personality, regional singer-songwriter, humorist, and cabaret artist. He gained his start in music by collecting and performing traditional Alsatian street songs, often incorporating antique instruments into his performances. His debut album, *Follig Song*, was released in 1972. Siffer's works often blend Alsatian dialect with French, reflecting his roots and cultural heritage. He is also the director of the *Théâtre de la Choucrouterie* in Strasbourg, a restaurant and cabaret that hosts a variety of shows.

As a prominent figure in Alsatian cultural life, Siffer has been involved in numerous projects, including contributing to the Strasbourg tram announcements in 2007 and participating in efforts to recognize Alsatian cabaret as a cultural heritage. His discography includes albums like *Alsace à vendre*, *Follig Song*, and live performances such as *20 ans de chansons*.
