Stephen Kellogg and The Sixers

Stephen Kellogg and The Sixers, commonly referred to as SK6ERS, was an American rock band led by singer-songwriter Stephen Kellogg. Founded in Western Massachusetts in the early 2000s, the group featured Kellogg's heartfelt storytelling and an Americana-infused rock sound that resonated deeply with fans of earnest, rootsy music. The Sixers' lineup consisted of Kit "Goose" Karlson on keyboards and bass, Brian "Boots Factor" on drums, and later, Sam "Steamer" Getz on guitar.

Over the years, Stephen Kellogg and The Sixers built a dedicated following through constant touring and a series of well-received albums. Their 2007 release, "Glassjaw Boxer (Deluxe Version)", showcased the band's ability to merge rock vigor with Kellogg's introspective lyricism. The Sixers continued to refine their sound with 2009's story-rich "The Bear" and the more polished "Gift Horse" in 2011, which marked their commitment to evolving both musically and personally. Known for their engaging live performances, the band captured the raw energy of their concerts in the 2012 release, "One Night in Brooklyn". While the band went on hiatus in the early 2010s, their recorded legacy, including the heartfelt album "Bulletproof Heart" and introspective tunes like "You've Changed", underscores their significant impact on the indie rock and Americana scenes. Stephen Kellogg continues to forge his path as a solo artist, carrying forward the spirit and authenticity that defined The Sixers.
