Nick Gilder

Nick Gilder is a Canadian singer-songwriter who rose to fame in the late 1970s with his hit single "Hot Child in the City." Born in London, England, Gilder moved to Canada as a child and began his music career in the early 1970s. He released his debut album, "Nick Gilder," in 1975, but it was his 1978 follow-up, "City Nights," that made him a star. The album featured the hit singles "Hot Child in the City" and "Roxy Roller," which both reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Gilder continued to release music throughout the 1980s and 1990s, but he never quite recaptured the success of his early years. In recent years, he has focused on writing and producing music for other artists.
